Hunters Cake Company is an established, independent family owned & run café with 2 locations in Witney and Burford that is recruiting for an assistant manager to work at our original Witney store.

With the original Witney store open 9 years and the Burford store open 2 years, we are regarded as being one of the best cafes in the area and our intention is to keep growing our reputation.

You will be responsible for:
· You will be the driving force behind the day to day cafe operations along with the cafe manager
· Helping to lead and develop the best team
· Maintaining the positive experience our customers already
· Reporting to the manager and hands-on owners on a regular basis
We are looking for someone to be open to how we do things and it's vital we keep the essence of the business the same whilst bringing in new ideas and continuously growing the business and adapting to industry changes as they happen.
Previous management experience in hospitality is preferred but not strictly essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

We're looking to expand our baking team and bring someone new on board to help bake all of our products for our cafes & beyond.
You’ll be working at our bakery in Carterton where we bake a large variety of cakes, brownies, cookies, traybakes etc. So you will be making a variety of products as well as helping come up with new ideas for products.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and does not need to have had previous professional baking experience. An eye for detail is essential as well as being able to recognise where their bakes can be improved to bring them up to the same level as the bakes we already produce.
Skills Required:
Basic knowledge of baking techniques and methods
Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work to time targets
To work tidily and neatly
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Fixed rota per week of 4 weekdays and a Saturday each week. 7am starts - 3pm finish - a 4 days per week rota is also possible.

Sunday between 4 & 7.5 hours a week.
This is a front of house position working as part of a small team serving with a smile. You will be responsible for keeping a clean and tidy counter whilst working efficiently and consistently.
Prior cafe experience is not necessary as training will be given - just make sure you have the right attitude and mindset along with willingness to work and we’ll teach you the rest!
